Executive Chef Christopher Roussin - Born in St. Louis, but raised in Los
Angeles' suburbs on the beach, Christopher Roussin comes from a large Family
and every family gathering was centered around large meals. That is, in his
own words, "Where I began my love affair with food."
A firm believer in submersion training and understanding that true knowledge
lies in working with great Chef's in an actual workplace, Christopher worked
his way up through the ranks of some of the finest restaurants in the
country. As a chef at the famed Hollywood Standard Hotel on the Sunset
Strip he worked under the direction of Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten of the
Mercer, New York and gained in-depth and invaluable experience of what it
takes to manage and operate a successful restaurant. His growing skills
transitioned into jobs as a private chef for Madonna & Guy Ritchie, Anthony
Keadis, Cameron Diaz, Debbie Mazar, Nicolas Cage, & David Geffen, to mention
just a few of the celebrity A-Listers in his rolodex of clients. He lived
and worked in their homes as well as traveled and vacationed with them all
over the world.
"I would not trade in the experiences for anything, but I missed the Midwest
and my family here in St. Louis," says Christopher, who left the Hollywood
lifestyle to return to Saint Louis where he was approached by Lucas School
House to take on the position as General Manager and Executive Chef.
